Worth International Media Group
The Challenge
Worth International was looking to upgrade its computer and network systems to provide increased performance, optimal availability and enhanced security.
The Solution
Following the recommendation of Design Red, Worth International Media Group satisfied its information security and availability needs with the following systems and services:
- Purchased new server hardware
- Gracefully migrated from Windows Small Business Server 2000 to Windows Small Business Server 2003
- Deployed an additional server to act as a file server and redundant domain controller
- Deployed a centralized antivirus system
- Hardened existing SonicWALL hardware firewall
- Setup an automated data protection system with notifications
- Updated and Reconfigured e-mail antivirus and spam protection systems
- Enabled "My Documents" folder redirection to provide improved availability and data protection
Worth International's staff immediately experienced a dramatic improvement in the performance and stability of their e-mail and file sharing system, thereby allowing them to focus on servicing clients rather than computer issues. Users took full advantage of enhanced mobility and remote access features of Small Business Server 2003. The viruses and hacker attacks that previously plagued the network were now being contained and neutralized by the centralized antivirus systems and reconfigured firewall. Worth's branch office was now able to collaborate and communicate with headquarters over the new Virtual Private Network (VPN).
"Design Red does what no other computer design and support company does – they get it done right. Worth International had many computer vendors through its door, but Design Red will be the only one now and in the future… I can recommend this company without hesitation!
